Reflective Questions for Personal Devotion and Communal Fellowship –

Sermon – Fashionable Faith: The Uniform of the Beast – John 5:30-47

What is your earliest memory/ies of guilt? What about of shame?

Where or what in you is the main challenge for believing in unconditional love?

For those who may believe in a form of ultimate reconciliation / universal salvation, how does it feel to not “fit”?

What is exalted in your own life? What about in society? How do you exalt God? In what ways do you see God exalted in the world today?

Where can you rest? What does rest feel like? In what circumstances do you feel most restful?

Can you recall a time when you lost yourself in something? In family, in art, in love, in God?

Have you ever felt what it is like to be ‘clothed with the sun’? Can you imagine it?

In what ways do you see the beast manifesting in today’s world?

How are you, or parts of you, bonded to the beast?

Where do you see God “putting on the Man” in your own life, being, and faith?
