Summary

A lawyer asked Jesus, “What shall I do to inherit Eternal Life? The Law says love God and your neighbor as yourself.” Jesus said, “Do it and you’ll be living!” Desiring to justify himself, the lawyer asked, “Who’s my neighbor?” He was looking for loopholes and lusting for Hell. Jesus told a story and asked, “Who proved to be the neighbor… to the man—the Adam—who fell, half dead, on the side of the road?” The lawyer is a dead man, and Jesus is the Good Samaritan. God in Christ Jesus will ask: “Adam, who’s your Helper?” This is The Judgment: You are loved by your scapegoat—the One you have hated in order to justify yourself. You will die, and rise, and become the body of the Good Samaritan.
