“Why are you afraid?” asks Jesus of his disciples, after they wake Him from a sound sleep in a raging “seismic” storm upon the sea. Are you afraid of Storms? God controls the storms. Are you afraid of death? God arranges your death so you might live. Are you afraid of the devil? God uses the devil for His own purposes. Are you afraid of God? Jesus said there is only One to fear. You are afraid because of your “little faith.” But God is creating your Faith. He’s in your boat and he’s using this storm to do it. “Fear God” and “therefore fear not!” Your “little faith” is an eternal indestructible seed. And It will grow.
